When a deer at an animal sanctuary is accidentally killed, the animals turn on the people.
Synopsis
Two guests die at Garden of Eden Wildlife Sanctuary, killed by an unseen predator.
Three years later, college friends Laura, Jason, Amy, Shyla and Patrick arrive on a working vacation, mostly although not all keen to learn about the environment.
There are strict rules, but immediately some of the guests break them. Someone leaves the gate to a field open and a deer wanders out straight into the path of the car of one of the wardens.
One of their kind dead, the animals take the law into their own hands, and the sheer violence of the natural world is revealed in all of its gory glory, as one by one they pick off the guests and wardens alike.
Jason finds newspaper clippings in the reception cabin, showing that this was not an isolated incident, and that the animals had been mistreated in the past and fought back.
Laura and Amy discover Sam and Anne's personal 'trophy' cabinet, guests stuffed like animals.
Anne walks in on them. In the ensuing scuffle Anne kills Laura. She takes Amy to Jason. They reach Jason just as Sam kills him.
The overnight electrical storm finally turns to morning and thick fog and a manhunt begins. Amy evades capture, but she gets lost in the forest, until she finally comes to a clearing, where the terrible true nature of Sanctuary and its 'Garden of Eden' are revealed.
Amy manages to get away as the animals turn on Sam and Anne. She makes her way to the road, where she waves down an approaching car, but a pack of wolves is not far behind, and the eagle waits for its quarry above.
The eagle flies in through the open window of the car and attacks the driver. The car hits Amy and she becomes yet more roadkill.
